YETI launched the Gear Locker initiative to strengthen the connection between the brand and its customers beyond the moment of purchase. The goal was to create a digital space where users could register, track, and celebrate their gear — while unlocking exclusive benefits.

For the Locker, we initially explored a more structured layout, then pivoted to looser, more immersive options to make the experience feel more accessible and engaging.

We started to think, what about if you could plan for a trip and decide what gear to take, check if you're missing anything, and save that setup for the future — so you're not deep in the woods realizing you forgot your bottle opener... again.

We know the users are really engaged with some products, for example the rambler and they love to purchase it in different colors, so we take advantage of this moment to show them their missing items.
